New video of the song Palaver Tree by Noga Ritter , filmed at Dalston Curve Garden by Woodburner

Beautiful souvenir from our day at Dalston Eastern Curve Garden with the brilliant Woodburner!
This is a song I wrote inspired by a text I got from a dear friend who reviled to me the meaning of the palaver tree and confessed it’s what I was symbolising for him ❤️ (full lyrics below)

Thanks to the greatest musicians ever of my quintet, to bring this song to life:
Daniel Woodfield -sax
Giuliano Osella- drums
Fabienne Ambühl -piano
Louis Haessler -bass

Lyrics:

Palaver Tree

Please me
Like the shade of
My palaver tree

A tree that protect
From the hot sun and
give strength
To give you
Infinite love
Hide from the rest
For this moment of confess
Conquer me
With fleeting love

Please me
Please me
You better appease me
You better appease me

Some humans are
A gate of energy
They give and the give
And they take you
To the sky

Noga Ritter 9-piece band LIVE showreel video is OUT!

Check out the new video capturing the ecstatic vibes at Noga Ritter’s show at St. Marys Music Hall, London October 2018. From Rhythm Passport’s review of the show:”Noga Ritter’s 9-piece band showcases the craftwork of boundary pushing artists within London's fusion music scene. Through Afro driven grooves and jazz interpretations, the collective rework and fuse Noga's original material, defying music genres. With a big band and an undeniable vocal conviction, Noga’s estatic stage performance tempts audiences to give their bodies to a unifying diasporic journey in dance and rhythm.”

Performing on Senegalese national TV with Ibnou Annas Gueye

Didn’t expect to sing on RDV Sénégal (Senegal national TV) but I defiantly didn’t expect to dance mbalax , beat-box for a rapper and talk in my broken French/Wolof/English about Israel/ Palestine on the show . Though defiantly the best part was performing my songs and Annas’s song with the talented Ibnou Annas Gueye ! Looking forward for my next concert in Senegal ! stay tuned, more info soon!
